M’Gilvry is a storyteller, a musical shapeshifter, and a builder. Raised in the folk camps and contra dances of Northern California, he spent 20 years learning fiddle before picking up Ableton Live. Now he braids them together.

M'Gilvry Allen's music comes from the place where joy and grief dance together. Using fiddle, guitar, and layers of harmony, he builds songs that feel both familiar and otherworldly - as if they've bubbled up from deep in the bones of the earth. His performances weave together traditional folk music, electronic elements, and an improvisational spirit that creates space for whatever needs to emerge.
