kid named rhi
In the dark of night, an alien spaceship dropped off a kid named rhi with 1) a ukulele, 2) a VHS tape of the Wizard of Oz, and 3) a collection of colorful sunglasses... and the rest is history.
Raised on the internet, YouTube, and Cartoon Network, Rhiannon Rueda created the project 'kid named rhi' to try to demonstrate a comprehensive look into her creative side from everything she's learned. She started like the rest posting ukulele covers on YouTube eventually transitioning to more film based work, creating short skits, vlogs, and music videos. Only a few years ago did she return to her music journey and found a deeper passion for it than ever before. Her work continues to evolve, never wanting to stay in the same genre or style. She blends her interests in jazz, indie bedroom pop, funk, and rock into her introspective lyrics that range from her childhood stuffed animals to her sex life. All that to say that kid named rhi is simply excited to create something—anything.
